since then i've...
turned eighteen:
the day of my birthday, i slept in and went to class [ew]. then emily, aryanna, and i went to the cheesecake factory for celebratory cheesecake which was really, really nice. then emily and i ran to the trolley [not so nice... i thought i might die. or at least projectile vomit chocolatechocolatechocolate cheesecake]. then we went to the seven-eleven where i nearly couldn't buy a lottery ticket. who knew it was so FREAKING HARD?! we watched the office at nine and then i think i went to bed.... i have an eight o' clock class on fridays. ugh.
i actually felt different waking up on my birthday for once....weird.
the next day i went to all my classes [again, ugh] and took the train home at three. i spent friday night with my family at Lucille's and then dragged my brother around town while i shopped for odds and ends. then- of course- GOLDEN SPOON. where i had a coupon for free fro-yo , HECK YES. then we all sat around and watched the soup.
the next morning was my library's booksale, so i got up early, got some starbucks, and went over. i got to see everybody, including Pam, who i hadn't seen since before i left for college. i stayed from around nine until three-ish. afterward, i took evan out for a late lunch and various shopping. plus i promised him starbucks, so we had to get that.
i spent the night with kaitlyn and kelly and we had the best time driving around laguna and taking pictures of a little army man everywhere we went. i finally got to drive everyone [legally.... :D].
I was supposed to take the three o'clock train back to san diego state, but aryanna offered to take me back with her. i went out to red robin with my mom for lunch and took evan and his friend to game stop with all my extra free time. my dad was working on a photo album for his parents who he's visiting right now, so he dragged out all the awkward baby/liller chiller pictures which were amusing. Emily didn't come back until the next day, so i had the room all to myself for the night.
THEN, i survived one crazy week:
because i have been supreme ruler of the procrastinators, i had a TON of shit to do last week. even with tuesday off, i worked straight through most of the week. i had a paper to write, a midterm to study for, a project to research [and complete], and ANOTHER midterm to study for. i took friday and saturday off as mental health days. friday, emily's friends came to visit and we all hung out. saturday, i spent time with my aunt and cousin at seaport village for my birthday. it was so nice to just get away for two days, but i had to come back and finish nearly an entire term project. which took all of sunday. which SUCKED. and it didn't help that the power went out twice [and still isn't completely back up. last night we didn't have any electricity, so even our fridge didn't work, and today the overhead lights don't work]. i was done by ten o'clock, just in time for 'the pick up artist,' which is FREAKING ENTERTAINING. Mystery [THAT'S HIS NAME!] is so weird i can barely stand it. i passed out a little past eleven.
today i went to my usual classes [art history, anthropology, and philosophy] where i found out i got an A on my art midterm, turned in my project for extra credit, and wanted to shoot myself in philosophy. i felt so accomplished from yesterday, that i lazed around the dorm room before finishing my homework and starting on my next two projects. i have four days to write a paper for art history, two weeks to start and finish my linguistics term project, and about three weeks to write a philosophy paper good enough to keep me passing. fantastic.
really, i'm just counting the days until thanksgiving break [which for me starts wednesday at 8:51, unless my art class gets cancelled- PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE. :D]
